Rainy Day -- Bella's House (Open)
Bella had decided that even with the light rain coming down, she wanted to be outside. She just felt too cooped up in the house right now. She put on a jacket and headed out the back of the house. She figured that she'd walk a little into the woods right behind the house and maybe get rid of some of the restlessness that she was feeling.

An hour later, she found herself out of the woods and on the back porch of her house. The rain was still coming down, but she wasn't as annoyed with it as she usually got for some reason. It could be because her mind was wandering off to think about Edward and her budgeoning friendship with his sister, Alice.

She wondered what they were doing right now... and if Edward was thinking about her.

Edward was in the forest behind Bella's house watching and lost within his thoughts. He saw Bella emerge from her house and into the woods. He followed at a distance silently. When she turned back a sense of relief washed through Edward. There were too many things that could go wrong in a forest-especially for a human as accident prone as Bella.

Edward watched Bella as she sat on her porch.

What is she thinking? Edward wondered.

He moved closer in the woods quickly but noticed that Bella may have caught his flash of moment in the woods.

She had been watching the woods through the rain when she caught the flash of movement. Standing up, she stepped to the edge of the porch to see if she could catch a clearer look. There weren't many things or people that would be out in the woods during weather like this that she knew of.

Instead of feeling fear, she felt a flash of something else that might be a bit like hope?

As much as she disliked the rain, she wanted to know who or what was out there. Was it too much to hope that it was Edward?

Of course it was too much, but that didn't stop her from putting on foot on the step like she was going to go find out.

Charlie was almost done with his shift at the sheriff's office for the day. He was getting hungry and was curious as to what Bella was going to be making for dinner.

He had become a bit spoiled since she moved in and he really enjoyed it actually. He thought it was nice having someone around the house. Even though he'd never admit it out loud, he'd been lonely since Renee had left and he was truly happy when Bella was around. Even if she was one of the less coordinated people he knew. Not like he had a lot of room to talk.

Luckily for Charlie, Bella had already set out two steaks in a marinade she had wanted to try. She was very happy to cook for her dad -- and make sure he was eating some healthier things nowadays.

While the steaks were marinading, she had pulled out potatoes to bake and had even made a nice salad for them to have at dinner.
